ORGANISATION AND OPERATION

The operating area of the Cluster is the whole territory of Hungary, but mainly in Northern Hungary and the Northern Great Plain Region, and the cluster is striving to develop international relations as well.

Cluster connection possibilities and obligations

Cluster management is performed by VKG Cluster Ltd., which was established after the formation of the cluster in order to coordinate the activities of the cluster. The activities of the Cluster are supported by VKIK Nonprofit Kft., whose strategic goal is to concentrate resources in the water management and environmental areas together with the VKG Cluster in order to accelerate knowledge sharing and transfer of know-how to other domestic and foreign bodies.

The VKG Cluster is open to members who indicate the entry of their intention by filling the Accession Declaration in. Admission of new cluster member requires the recommendation of two full-fledged members. The Cluster Council approves the application. The Cluster Council accepts or rejects the admission application by a simple majority in case of admission request dispute. The Cluster establishes membership fee for members to maintain his services.

The Cluster organizational and operational order

The Cluster's main permanent decision-making forum is the Cluster Council which is formed by nine seats, headed by the President. The establishment of the cluster is a single block, but later the members can create their own sub-sectoral, sub-committees based on regional, personal, or any other interest within the Cluster. The main decision-making institution affecting any cluster issues is the Cluster Assembly.

The operation of the Cluster is regulated by Organizational and Operational Rules (Szervezeti és Működési Szabályzat -SZMSZ, which document has been adopted by joint decision of the Founding Members. The SZMSZ is intended to define the guidelines and rules that the cluster members are required to comply within the framework of the operation of the cluster. The SZMSZ is the basic operational functional document of the cluster, which contains rules to be applied to all members within the cluster.
